The Quest
A quest could be called a “journey with adventure”. A quest involves leaving point A and heading to point B without making plans to return. We never recover from a quest. Following Christ is the ultimate quest that changes us forever as we leave what is behind and press on to what is ahead. There is nothing boring about following Christ and His Kingdom quest. Adventure, drama, beauty, excitement, and hardship are part of following Christ for a lifetime. You are invited to take your next step in the high quest of following Christ.
Equipping Men for the Quest
In order for men to follow Christ for a lifetime, they need to be prepared and trained to face the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Like climbing a mountain, the challenge must be met with proper concepts, skills and tools. Learning and practicing core skill sets (or spiritual disciplines) are essential, if a man is to walk effectively and authentically with Christ over the course of his life.
Equipping has to do with acquiring these proper skills and tools in order to face the ever-changing challenging landscape with confidence. The lack of training and proper equipment results in timidity and frequent casualties. The HighQuest series is not a Bible study but it does help men get into the Scripture for themselves. It teaches them how to feed on God’s Word, listen to his voice and make life applications.
The HighQuest series utilizes the dynamic of three to four men meeting together weekly in a HighQuest Forum where they share their journey in an environment of trust and accountability.
