The
HighQuest Forum
The HighQuest
forum is an environment where 3-4 men meet for perspective,
encouragement and accountability. Since most men tend to live
lives that are:
- isolated rather
than connected
- compartmentalized
rather than integrated
- disengaged rather
than engaged,
Men need a consistent place where they can be listened to,
taken seriously and understood.
There are four components of a HighQuest Forum each deals
with a specific question:
"Because we care, what do we need to know?"
Connection
"Because God's
Word is true, what are you discovering?" Exploration
"Because God's Word is relevant, what is He telling you to
do?" Application
"Because God cares, how can we support you in prayer?"
Intercession
A HighQuest Forum
uses one of the HighQuest units for the Exploration and
Application components. Each unit is designed for 12
sessions. A HighQuest Forum meets weekly for usually an hour
at a time convenient to the whole Forum. An hour time frame
creates flexibility to fit into a lunch break or before work.
It is important to create a realistic environment that can be
easily reproduced. Part of the HighQuest vision is that men
will see that it is "doable".
